Murad Abel, DBA, MBA
Dr. Murad Abel lives in San Diego, CA and is originally from Michigan. He holds his Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, an MBA in Human Resources Management from Davenport University, and his BA in Science from Central Michigan University. His previous experience includes business consulting, contract negotiations, professional writing, special projects, and organizational development. Prior to joining Ashford University, he was a manager of the labor relations department and training and development department within a Detroit casino. As an Assistant Professor in the Forbes School of Business at Ashford, Dr. Murad teaches online courses in Human Resources Management. His professional experience and training have helped him better understand the needs of businesses and employers in the modern working world, and his favorite activity related to teaching is having the chance to create a legacy for future business leaders. “As virtual higher education expands in the market it comes with the ability to have a wider impact on the way people think, participate, and engage the world around them. My goal is to help foster that transformation from a local to a global economy while maintaining ethical standards.” Dr. Abel, who enjoys writing, doing research, and contributing to his blog, advises students to set career and educational goals and stay focused on them.
