Dr. Rajin Koonjbearry teaches courses in information systems and information technology for the Forbes School of Business and Technology at Ashford University. He received a Doctor of Science in Information Assurance from Capitol Institute of Technology, an MSc in Information Security from University of Dallas, an MSc from Southern Methodist University in Telecommunication, an MSc from the University of Arkansas in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science from Wabash College. He also completed several industry certifications including the SSCP, CISSP and COBIT.
Prior to joining Ashford University, Dr. Koonjbearry served as chief information security officer for the United States Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Oklahoma. He also worked for Verizon Communications for 17 years. Dr. Koonjbearry has been working in the field of information technology since 1989, has served on national information security panels, and has participated in multiple conferences over the last decade. He was awarded a patent by the United States Patent office for Advanced Authentication over the internet. His area of research and interest is Trust as a Commodity in Cyberspace.
