Linda Abernathy is an Associate Professor of Accounting at the Forbes School of Business & Technology at Ashford University. She earned her Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Management Information Systems from St. Ambrose University. Also, she received her Master of Accountancy from St. Ambrose University. Abernathy served as the Division Chair of Math, Science and Business at Jefferson College. She has taught a wide range of accounting and business courses at Fontbonne University before coming to Ashford University. Abernathy served as the Accounting Program Chair and Director of Assessment for Career and Technical Education at Kirkwood Community College. In this role, she provided leadership and training to faculty and academic administrators involved in design, development and evaluation of academic programs. She served as a Professional Development Fellow and facilitated faculty professional development. Abernathy is a certified public accountant and worked in the accounting field for 10 years as a controller and accounting manager for manufacturing companies.
