Dr. Bradley Thames is lead faculty in the Humanities & Science department that is part of the Division of General Education at Ashford University. He received his PhD in Philosophy and his Master of Arts in Philosophy from University of Notre Dame and his Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies and Anthropology from University of Arizona. Dr. Thames was an Office of Research Teaching Fellow at Notre Dame from 2011-2012 and a visiting assistant professor of Philosophy at University of St. Thomas from 2012-2013. He teaches philosophy courses at Ashford and says, “I love helping students consider how the big questions of philosophy connect up to their everyday lives, and enabling them to continue asking such questions long after the course is over.” Dr. Thames lives in St. Paul, MN, with his wife, two boys, and a few other animals. His many interests include photography, cooking, running, cycling, history, music of all kinds, and literature, with a particular fondness for Tolkien.
