Jamie Weitl is an assistant professor and lead faculty in the Entry Point & Social Science department that is part of the Division of General Education at Ashford University. She holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from Eastern Illinois University, where she also completed her BA in Social Science Education and is currently pursuing her PhD in Organizational Development and Leadership from University of the Rockies. Weitl started out teaching American history and government at the high school level before beginning to teach college students in 2008. She developed her first online course in 2010. “The best tip I can give my students is to practice time management,” Weitl says. “Using organizational tools and managing their time wisely will not only be assets in the classroom but in their future career as well.” She is married with three children. In her spare time, she loves to read, bake, and watch Cubs baseball.
