Julie Nideffer is lead faculty in the Entry Point & Social Science department that is part of the Division of General Education at Ashford University. She holds a Master’s degree in Spanish Literature and a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a specialization in Spanish from Arizona State University. She has worked in education for over 15 years as a high school Spanish teacher, world language academic coach, and community college adjunct instructor. Nideffer started with Ashford in 2008, working with her husband to develop the Spanish curriculum. She enjoys inspiring a passion in others for an area she is so passionate about herself and says, “My favorite thing about teaching at Ashford is being in a classroom that connects individuals from all over the world at varying stages of life to work toward a common goal. It’s invigorating!” Nideffer lives in Scottsdale, AZ with her husband and two daughters.
