Biography

Dr. Stacie Williams is part of the core faculty in the Humanities & Science department that is part of the Division of General Education at Ashford University. She holds Doctorate and Master’s degrees in Math Education with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction from Florida State University (FSU). Her undergraduate work was completed at FSU as well, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Dr. Williams has been teaching since 1997 and started at Ashford in 2011. She says, “It is inspiring to see students learn that they can do math. I believe any person can do math after the amazing challenges I have seen students overcome.” Dr. Williams advises good time management as a key to student success and also encourages individuals to ask questions and use resources that work best for them. When she is not teaching, she loves traveling and going to the beach.
