Dr. Wendy Conaway is part of the core faculty in the Entry Point & Social Science department that is part of the Division of General Education at Ashford University. She earned her PhD from Walden University. Before that she earned her Master’s degree in human sciences from Our Lady of the Lake University and her Bachelor’s degree in French from the University of Houston. Dr. Conaway’s history shifted from a life in the corporate world to a life in education in 2003. She believes this shift helps her connect with non-traditional students. It also led her to teach at Ashford University because she believes “Ashford provides a warm, welcoming, nurturing environment.” Her advice for students matches that environment. She tells every student to “take good care of yourself! Balancing work, education, family, and private time is a challenge, so take time out to relax, de-stress, and reward yourself for each accomplishment along the way.” Dr. Conaway is sure to reward herself when not teaching. She loves spending time with her husband and sons, as well as watching movies and exercising.
