Earning my degree has been meaningful in so many ways. It has also developed me into the well-rounded and educated individual that I need to be to succeed in both my personal and professional life.

Biography

As an active-duty Marine, Zach Brown needed flexible options for his education. He found what he needed at Ashford University, where he began pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration degree in 2011. Because of a deployment, Zach had to take some time off from his studies, but he remained committed to his educational goals and returned to finish his bachelor’s degree in 2015.

“Earning my degree has been meaningful in so many ways,” says Zach. “Not only has it given me more tools to use in my professional life, but it has also developed me into the well-rounded and educated individual that I need to be to succeed in both my personal and professional life.”

With a bachelor’s degree on his resume, Zach was ready for his post-military career. He began working as an Airport Manager in Indiana and started thinking about additional educational opportunities. He decided to enroll in the Master of Business Administration program at the Forbes School of Business & Technology™. To help pay for his master’s degree, Zach applied for and was awarded the Entrepreneurship Scholarship. Zach completed his MBA in 2017.

Looking back on his time at Ashford, Zach feels that he is now equipped with the abilities and confidence to move forward in his career and that online learning was an ideal way to attain his degrees as a full-time employee and father.

“Now married and a father of two toddlers, I am proud that I was able to complete these major accomplishments while my children were still young,” reflects Zach of his educational experience. “I can take my free time now to spend more time with family and doing things I enjoy.”

To those considering pursuing their online degree, Zach says “anyone who wishes to better themselves professionally should contact an Ashford University representative right away."
